“We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.” Acts 5:32. And what is this Holy Spirit? “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” Gal. 5:22-23. This was our focus for week 5: Getting the Fruit of the Spirit through Obedience. What a priceless truth that we’ve been taught here at Remnant Fellowship Church and how sweet that these children get to learn this at such a young age! We are incredibly blessed!!
Highlights from this week: On Monday, we had the most joyful and glorious field trip…sun, smiles, swimming and ice cream sundaes followed by sweet quiet time with God! On Tuesday, we had the blessing of getting to hear from Mrs. Gwen during our weekly webcast- learning more about how to LOVE- Loving God FIRST and then others! On Wednesday, our amazing and over-the-top, humble and servant-hearted Junior Counselors put together to loveliest tea party for the Day Camp Counselors! All of the girls participated in the sweet event, smiling with graciousness and serving with joy! On Thursday, we danced ballet, wove bracelets, wrote letters, sealed some care packages and were encouraged to connect with some out of town saints from all over the world!! How fun is that?!
Of course, EVERY DAY is filled with prayer and praise to GOD, reading scripture, counting our blessings and looking for GOD in EVERYTHING!! As we continue to obey -God is true to His word- and we experience more and more of HIS beautiful Spirit!! The LOVE and the JOY and the PEACE continue to grow here in the hearts of these precious children, the selfless Junior Counselors and, most definitely, in the Counselors as well!! We are beyond grateful and praising GOD for everything!!
