God is SO amazing and worthy of praise! The tribe of Gad is full of thankfulness and is more in love with GOD than when Day Camp started two weeks ago! The theme last week was “Our heritage – a legacy of a Connection.” Through the Bible and the Connection Day Camp workbook we studied the hearts of Abraham, King David, Noah, Jesus Christ, Miriam, and Rachel. We are building our relationships with GOD by praying to HIM numerous times a day for the blessings He provides as well as the needs for each other. The girls are learning about Christ and are implementing His characteristics of humility, patience, servanthood, peace, love, and joy. The 3rd and 4th grade girls are memorizing and learning to live out the following Scriptures: Psalms 15, Philippians 4:4-9, Galatians 5:22-23, and I Corinthians 13 – as well as learning the books of the Bible.
We had the beautiful opportunity last week to serve other Saints locally and outside of Nashville by making cards and care packages. The girls also thanked all of the Junior Counselors from each of the 11 Tribes by making them cupcake cone treats. God blessed us throughout the week with times of play, swimming, a movie, crafts, dancing, and even a field trip to Pump It Up! What a glorious week two the LORD gave us at our Remnant Fellowship Summer Day Camp! To sum up week two, here are some quotes from some of the tribe members of Gad!
“I thank God for Day Camp because I get to learn about God more and more and I WANT to! I’m so thankful!” – Abigail
“I am thankful for Day Camp because you get to learn about God and how to have a relationship with Him.” – Jasmine
“I love Day Camp because we get to learn about women in the Bible.” – Caroline
