We are so excited to begin WEEK 6 of Remnant Fellowship Day Camp, and learn more about the Characteristics of Christ!

WEEK 5 RECAP: Last week the Zebulun girls had so much fun and learned a lot! We loved the Week 5 workbook lessons, which taught us about how God is NOT EASILY ANGERED, how He loves JOY and TEMPERANCE, FORGIVENESS, and how Jesus had RIGHTEOUS ANGER. We were instructed by Jan Voorhis on COMMUNICATION. Earlier this summer, Mrs. Jan (or “GranJan”) spent time with every young camper listening and making notes on their speech. This week, she took time with our tribe to go over some of the sounds which are more of a challenge for young children, and how to practice so that when they praise or God or speak of Him to others, they are clear and effective in their communication! In Art the girls made a melted crayon project. We also were blessed to watch a beautiful ballet performance led by Lacy Dalgarn. The counselors were treated to a delicious Italian-style lunch created by the Junior Counselors and led by Emily Rash. On Thursday, Gwen came to our webcast morning assembly and gave a beautiful charge to all. Michael was on hand to lead praise and worship, and we gave shout outs to those watching from outside Nashville. That afternoon, all the campers were taught the Daughters of Jerusalem dance by Patty and Esabella Wilde. Plus, we made cork boats which we plan to sail this week! PLEASE stop all of these wonderful volunteers and thank them for taking time out of their day to come and visit with your child!

FOR THIS WEEK: Week 6 will be super-blessed! Tomorrow (Monday) we will take a trip to ASHLAWN for swimming, devo, and picnic time! PLEASE MAKE NOTE: Drop off booster seat in our Zebulun room and send your daughter’s swimsuit, lunch, and towel. Water shoes and other items are optional. We plan to dress the campers, sunscreen them, and head to Ashlawn right after morning devo time.

We continue to work on sitting still, focusing attention on those who are speaking, and properly getting an adult’s attention. The girls are getting much better at all of these things! QUIET TIME: Some girls like to have a “lovey” or toy with them for quiet time. If you choose to send these items with your child, know your child! Some children are more easily distracted and these items might be best left at home. Also, go over the best times to play with these toys.

We hope you enjoy looking at some of the photos below and we thank you so much for allowing us to lead the Tribe of Zebulun!

Love,

Donna Bass and Larissa Ottinger
