Good afternoon, Simeon parents!
What a wonderful weekend we have been blessed with! I praise God for the powerful message on Saturday; I am charged and convicted to go further! We will definitely be putting Mrs. Gwen’s words into practice and we pray to keep growing in the Characteristics of Jesus Christ!
A few notes regarding this up coming week:
1. This week we will only have camp Monday through Wednesday. We will not have camp Thursday, July 4th.
2. Your child was sent home with their workbook on Thursday; please make sure it is brought back with them to camp! If it was misplaced please send money to purchase another one. They are only $7!
3. Your child was also sent home with their blue towel and swimsuit; please have it washed and returned to camp on Monday so we can all continue in our water activities!
Here a just a few of the fun things we got to do last week!
Mrs. Gwen came three mornings last week and gave us a charge. We even webcasted our devo on Thursday and got to give shout outs to all of our friends who live out of town. We had water play, made stamps in arts and crafts, played indoor and outdoor games, had ice cream snacks, and much more! The boys have memorized 2 Peter 1:5-8 along with hand motions and got to share it at devo! We made slime and gave it away to the tribe of Issachar, and then had some left over for all of the boys, which they were very excited about! (: On Thursday we got to go to Cheekwood Botanical Gardens on a field trip which was very fun! A big thank you to Mrs. Trish Clark and Heather Higgins for coming with us! We went on a scavenger hunt, got to see a train set, play in a tree house, and marvel at God’s creation! It was a very blessed day following God’s spirit!
We love working with your boys, and it is so sweet to see them grow in love for God and one another each day! Please continue to keep us all in your prayers!
