We are so full of joy and thankfulness to GOD for Remnant Fellowship Day Camp!!! We feel so blessed that we get to come to a beautiful Church building, be with Godly friends, listen to life-changing messages, and live it out!!!! GOD is so good!
Last week was just incredible! GOD provided us with daily, life-changing devotionals where we heard from Gwen Shamblin on messages regarding humility, baptism, wanting correction, and loving GOD with ALL our hearts rather than evil. We were led in praise and worship several times from Michael Shamblin, David Martin, and other youth musicians. We learned 2 new dance songs – “Focus Up” by Michael Shamblin and “Jump Up” by Matt Weaver. We had 2 great days of games, relay races in gymnastics, and painting in art. We thank GOD that we have learned the Books of the Bible as well as 1 Corinthians 13. We are currently working on acting out the parable of the “Good Samaritan” – Luke 10:25-37.
We thank GOD for slowing us down in the middle of the day for quiet time, which includes a time of praying, reflecting on how we’ve lived out what we heard from the morning devotionals, and working through our Characteristics of Christ workbooks! For this week – week 4 – we will be focusing on the point that Love is NOT self-seeking and we will keep learning what that means. Each week, we as counselors have continually reinforced the importance of praying to GOD throughout the day, and at the end of each day we share our answered prayers! Also, we are continually learning – through devotionals, quiet time, and through play and activities – manners and etiquette regarding ways to become beautiful young ladies trained up in the LORD!
The days are ended with fun, God-led activities like water play, Skyping with out of town Saints, sharing answered prayers, and thanking GOD for the day! GOD is the giver of everything, and literally as I type in all HE has given us, I am blown away at HIS generosity!
This is our re-cap of week 3 as God allows us to move into Remnant Day Camp Week 4. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Your prayers are the greatest gift you could give us!
Nothing but joy and praises to GOD ALMIGHTY!
