Wow!!! We can’t believe that 3 weeks of summer camp have gone by already! Whew! God fills our minutes of the day so quickly and He is always showing us more and more about Him. This is a beautiful life we get to live and we are Praising God for the words of truth He continues to give Mrs. Gwen. This week we were charged by Gwen to write down the things we have been told by our authorities (parents, spouses, teachers, counselors, etc.) that we could be doing better. Parents please check your daughter’s work books and make sure they are writing it down. We are all learning how to take correction properly and how to love correction because “God corrects those He loves.” Gwen also taught us that it is prideful to reject correction and that pride is silly and Chrisitanity loves correction.
We were honored to have Mrs. Jan Voorhis, Speech Therapist, give a presentation to our group on communication techniques. Mrs. Jan gave us some great tips on how to make God look good during our “shout out” times and public speaking opportunities. Thank you Mrs. Jan!!!
The lovely girls of Asher are also doing crafts each week led by Calla Sharp & Woodi Woodland. Emily Beld and our JC’s helped the girls make name tags. If you were absent last week please see your counselor and we will make sure you get to make a name tag
